A Brief Interruption.

The world is going crazy and happy over the most anticipated wedding by all - the William & Kate wedding. Actually, I am not that into the wedding, though I am very, very and very happy for them and the Royal family for this wonderful event. Hence, this post would be a brief interruption for what is trending now in the world of cyberspace. In short, pasingit lang LOL.

Every job seeker would by now know about the site Jobsdb.com and would probably have created their own accounts in the hopes of snagging that wonderful dream job they aspire. It is a great way of approaching different companies in one fast and convenient way. Well, I, myself created an account to help me find that job that suit my skills and personality. After all, where is the passion in your work when you cannot find your personality in what you do? So far, I have not encountered any problems with my account. However, to my horror I just found out that I have to accounts in this site. Talk about creating accounts when you're already half-asleep!

This is an urgent matter for me and a dilemma that needs solution. I immediately dialed the site's hotline number (there is no CANCEL account on the site) and thankfully someone is at the phone (I guess they are pretty dedicated for their OT duties). The one who answered the phone told me that I should not worry too much, which really baffled me. Why would not I worry about my professional career? Then she said that she does not know how to cancel an account. Good thing she told me to send an e-mail so my problem would be addressed by the company. I got distracted on the last part of our conversation where she said the details I need to include in the e-mail. But I decided to just include the e-mail address I used in creating my former account. I hope that my request would be addressed by the company, so I would not be worrying too much about my applications with the different companies.

By the way, here is the e-mail address given to me: ria.d@jobsdb.com.ph and you have to cc phhelpdesk@jobsdb.com.ph also.

I hope this helps!

Heaven made a Quilt for Sweetness.

Mom went to Serendra yesterday to bond with her friends. Upon coming home, she had a sweet surprise for us :)

PS. Sorry for the blurry pics and not so perfect angles. These pictures does not do justice on how it really looks tempting to eat.

Wee! Can't wait to see what's inside.

Ahh, bliss...

It's like a tower - a tower of scrumptiousness, when shot at this angle :)

To actually help you calculate how tall this cake is, I instinctively grabbed this bottle for reference haha

Cutting this cake was a no easy task. I literally have to dug deep. But it's rewarding since this is what you'll taste :)

It needs to be frozen to preserve it's taste.
This Mango Bravo from Conti's is truly scrumptious. For me, it is not too sweet but it is still a perfect dessert. I was just surprised to see that it is literally covered in thick whipped cream. The mangoes on top was also sweet, which is all right with me because I regret having to eat a cake with sour fruits in it. What I love most about this cake is the lowermost part. Though, I don't know what it is, my taste buds are sending me happy notes :) The only downside for me is you need to have a strategy on how to slice it perfectly though (Maybe a longer knife?).

This cake retails for 550 Php, the larger version (yes there is a larger and taller version! LOL.) is priced at about 900+ Php.

How about you guys, have you tasted any food from Conti's? Do share it :) Well as for me, I have to eat sleep already, I have a date tomorrow with my friend :)

Belated Happy Easter Everyone!

How was your Holy week? Did you spent on the beach as most of us usually do? Or went on different Churches for the Station of the cross? I spent mine at home. I know, it may sound dull and boring, but for me it was serene and spiritual. I stopped using the computer for my usual surfing stuff which made me contemplate on more serious matter (Hello to organizing my weekly tasks and lists of super out-dated things to do hahaha!). Anyhow, this post is not to dwell too much on my Holy Week contemplation. I'd like to share to some cool websites I found while browsing my old magazines :)

  • thxthxthx.com - for when you feel like no blessing is coming your way. This site will tell you that even simple things are worth to be thankful for.
  • nike.com - feeling deprived of not having your own trainer? Create your own account in here and download the uber savvy Nike Training Club app for your iTouch or iPhone, and you've got yourself your own trainer for free!
  • apartmenttherapy.com - if you're planning on renovating any part of your house, then this would surely help you a lot.
So there you go, some site which I find useful and entertaining at the same time.

Thanks Ipanema!

Look what I got! *BEAMS WITH SMILE*

Converting it to the price of Thong Fem and Kirey Fem, this GC is worth about 1,200 Php. Talk about hot stuff :) However, I still have not decided what to do with it. I initially wanted to get a pair, but then I thought I don't need any new pair of slippers right now. So, the entrepreneur-ish side of me :)) is thinking of selling this for 1k. Hmm, I think 200+ Php off would be okay. This is what a hole in my wallet does to me LOL. I also thought of giving this to my mom for Mother's Day, but I still need to know if she would like the design of the slippers. My mom is really picky when it comes to slippers.

So there, I'm still 50-50 about this GC, though I am really thankful that Ipanema is this generous when giving out prizes :) Oh yeah and another thing, I found some pretty cookie jars that are made of plastic. If I remember it right, it's from UbranHome or UrbanKitchen? I will definitely check it out again. They are made of plastic and has a very cute cover, plus they are big enough to store my brushes. The downside is, the over-all design is not similar to the one in the video.

On the Hunt: Cookie jars a.k.a. Apothecary jars

Ever since I saw this youtube video about organizing your make-up brushes in a Sephora style with a twist, it got stuck on my mind. But due to my limited budget, I can't buy it.

So, just this year, I decided to find a similar jar minus the hefty price tag (shipping fee+customs = No way). The funny thing is, what I thought and called as cookie jars were really apothecary jars. HAHA! What I am not sure of is whether the word apothecary jar is common here in the country or whether it is used to label those cutesy cookie jars. I think I have to research about that when I already have the time and budget to dilly-dally around malls.

In the meantime, I have to change the dimensions of the jar specified in the video. It is way to big for my tiny vanity area and I am not too keen on having a glass container. So the things I have to consider are the height, the circumference of the circle and the material used (plastic would be great). I already checked SM San Lazaro Dept. Store and found one plastic jar. However, I find the design too tacky and it was rather small. I also found one at Simple Joys (located in SM Mega) while window shopping with the BF. Unfortunately, this time it was way too big for me and it was made of glass. So there I am still in the beginning phase of my hunt. Wish me luck, I need all the luck to find myself the perfect cookie jar a.k.a. apothecary jars.

Loser kid in a way.

Can you believe that it was only recently that I bought from Forever21. With all those gorgeous dresses, beautiful tops and oh-so-dreamy shoes, I still managed not to buy anything since last year. I think there is something wrong with me already. Seriously.

Anyhow, I am really excited to show to what I got from Forever21. My first ever LOL. I just shopped for accessories at that time since I needed those for a very special occasion.

PS. No watermarks since I was not the one who took these photos. Credits go to my ever kyoot BF :3

My first ever F21 stuff. I love them to bits <3

Dramatic effect noh. Though my fingers look like dry LOL.
These lovelies are priced at Edited > 365 Php if I remembered it right. Where did my sanity go all these time for not buying immediately from Forever21? But the good news is, since I'll be working (soon?), I will be able to get myself hooked on impulsive buying from this store. Oh yeah! :)

PPS. This makes me wonder if the items sold in Mega branch are the same as those sold in their newly opened branch in Makati.

NBI Clearance: One of those documents you should have.

I went to Caloocan to get my first ever NBI clearance and I felt weird. I was actually giddy. But the truth is, I am always giddy when out trying out something for the first time.

Here are my  few tips when going to NBI Caloocan:

  • Bring coins. Aside from paying at the counter (Step 2), you need to pay for the fingerprint process. It is roughly between 5-10Php only.
  • Know your height and weight. This is needed in the form that will be given to you (Step 1).
  • You need to go at the back of their office before you reach the entrance. I really got confused when I arrived at the 5th floor where their office is.
  • There is an automated payment system located when you enter the NBI payments and processing area. Sadly, I was not able to check it out since I was busy queuing in the payments counter.
  • Aside from a few minutes of waiting after Step 1, everything would be smooth-sailing, basing it from the day I had applied.
For more a more detailed information on your other queries, go to NBI's website.

Nails of the Moment.

The last two weeks of March were very tiring for me, although academic work was already done and sealed. I was in a desperate mode to find the "perfect" dress and the "perfect" shoes to pair it with. Well that desire made me very exhausted, literally. My feet ached so much that I needed two pairs of Salonpas plastered on my legs. Anyway, part of my desire to have that "perfect" look made me think about what nail color should I have. I did a research on the color wheel and color combinations that best worked for the color of my dress. I found great color combinations that would add color to my attire because really, if I look washed-out or pale, I look older than I am.

So, a girl like me should do what is proper. I dialed my trusted nail spa for a home service. I Do Nails is a nail spa heaven brought into your homes. I assure you. However, the review for this will have to come next time. My focus would be the color of my nails as of this moment, because I am so loving my nails right now.

My nails remind of me of a cool summer on the beautiful of island of Greece or a tropical get-away somewhere in Caribbean. I personally requested to have some turquoise nail color included in the nail polish set. I really planned that it would break the color monotony of my look and add a pizzazz. What can I say, until now I am still bedazzled by my nails. On the other hand, my toe nails let me enjoy the feeling of being a rocker slash sweet doll. I really feel like rocking my feet.I loved how it made my feet look neat and at the same time very eye-catching.

PS. Sorry for the lousy photos. I was already sleepy when I took these pictures. The photos did not do justice on these wonderful nail colors.

The colors somehow transforms into green when struck by sunlight.

Eek! Disregard my ugly toes LOL. Just look at the colors

See, they are all lovely colors! I will soon post the nail colors from I Do Nails which caught my attention :)
