TBS: Tea Tree Concealer.

I am gifted with a wrinkle-free face until I get old. Therefore, I have very oily (to the nth power) face. But with this gift also comes a curse. Yes. A curse. I have so much blemishes and break-outs even I am already way past my puberty days. Reading various articles, I know that this really happens. BUT I just wish it was not me. Instead of sulking around, I turned to concealers. Actually, I have a derma that I can run to whenever my face acts weird. Sadly, I cannot financially keep up with constant consultation and facial (Good thing I will be working already soooon :) Yey! For my first!).

My first experience with concealer was way back during high school. I bought Careline Concealer because it was the first thing I saw in Mercury drugstore. It looked promising for me who does not know anything about make-up and skincare during that time. However, soon enough I realized that it did not work for me. It aggravated my pimples more and did not conceal my blemishes. That was my first and last try with concealers.

Until, I met The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil concealer.

*NOTE: The details below are from my personal experience and not from any official website of The Body Shop or any blogger. This type of review will continue in any of my up-coming beauty reviews.

To give you a quick estimate on how small this concealer is :)

Can you see the swipes? It looks natural. L-1 swipe; R-2 swipes

I hope you could now see the swatches.
**Note: The photos are taken under natural light, to give you an idea of how it really looks. Any other up-coming swatches shall be done under natural light as well.

Product Description: A matte concealer with thick consistency and has a drying effect in the long run. Light and handy for touch-ups on the go. It has no distinct smell; only a faint scent of tea tree oil.

Product Performance: On the almost one month (3 weeks and 3 days) I am road-testing this concealer, it performed what it really claims to do - hide blemishes and as a bonus, it evens out the discoloration on my face. But I have to apply at least two coats before the blemishes disappear and it does not hide protruding and large cystic pimples. The drying effect I mentioned earlier was because of the dry patches around my forehead, cheeks and nose I saw after three hours. It was like I had a facial peel which I found odd since without any make-up on me, I had no peelings or whatsoever. But I guess the crazy hot and the humid cool weather of our country makes my face react like this. In the end, I am happy with the product because it does not irritate my pimples and the shade no. 2 matches my skin tone. I directly apply this on my face; afterwards I blend this with my fingers or for better and flawless look, I use a flat top brush.

Price and Placement: At any The Body Shop branches for around 550Php. But I got this on a 40% discount. Yey! (Sorry I can't remember anymore how much I got this concealer.)

'til next post!

Ciao,

Maddie
